i didn't give any notice because i couldn't go back or there would of been fights.i've been told iam still due hoilday pay but hes saying no because i just left and did not work any notice,can anyone help?thanks guys

i phoned acas and they said i should get the pay.i worked for 7 months and got 5 days pay for the time i was there.ive been in touch with him again he says i aint due a penny because i just left and didn't work the notice.

If you are talking about "holiday pay" as "vacation pay", then it depends on where you live. In the US the general answer is "NO", but there are some states (I THINK California) where this might not be true

Holiday pay - not likely, since you're no longer employed there. It would only be due you if it's company policy to pay holiday pay after you have quit, which would be pretty unusual.

If you're talking about vacation pay, then maybe. That should be spelled out in the employee policy manual.

Leaving with no notice certainly didn't help your position, but the answers would be the same even if you'd given notice.

You are required by law to get the money due. If you worked. He should know that. Tell him you're going to contact the better business bureau. He'll cough it up if you tell him that.
