It is a good family movie. It shows both parent and child the perspective of going through and how to deal with. Both support, down falls, encouragement, and determination, love, persistence, and hope.

I don't think that an eight year old would like it at all. The movie is trying to send a message to people, and I am not sure that an eight year old would understand the message, let alone get it.

I certainly would recommend it for children, it is an important message of self affirmation. It might take some explaining afterwards.
Go out to dinner afterwards and engage the child in discussion about such a Movie.
Children have great capacity for thought, but it needs to be provoked within them.

well according to news, this movie is really inappropriate for children to see even though a little boy is in it. however if he's been experienced to movies as this he probably won't be bored.

i know the movie has a young kid in it, but i wouldn't say it's a movie for kids; i think it's meant to be inspirational for adults.
