If you are totally disabled, try Social Security. You might qualify for a disablility pension.

If you were disabled because of an accident, maybe a lawyer can help.

Otherwise you will need help from social welfare agencies and possibly from help groups that might provide help for someone with a specific disease, like MS, for example.

You have to go through credit counseling before you can file for bankruptcy. Perhaps a credit counselor can give you more concrete advise based on your personal situation.

You need to go to your local Social Security Administration office if you are physically disabled.

But be prepared, if you are allergic to paperwork, you can forget getting the "hook up" from the federal government.

If you want money from the government, you have to prove you are disabled.

Plus, one full year AFTER you are disabled under Social Security, you would qualify for Medicare - which would help pay a large portion of your FUTURE medical bills.

Please bear this in mind, if you ain't never had a job, then the federal government ain't gonna help.

SSA is a pay-in -- take out system. If you ain't never put anything in, then you won't get anything out.

Good luck.
