Christians don't practice what they preach because they find a huge problem that has happened with someone there close to, or just someone... Then they talk about what happened and then read verses out of the bible that best suites the problem.

As christian I have to say the majority including myself do not there is more than a fair share of the hypocrite in all of us which makes us very quick to point out the shortcomings in others whilst turning a blind eye to the same faults in ourselves.

Well, I don't preach, as a matter of principal. Priests are there to teach (and they don't get it right all the time), so I leave that up to them.
I DO try to live as a Catholic, but I sure as hell fail on a regular basis. (mind you, IMHO it's not the failing that counts, but the again and again trying not to fail)

Some do, most don't. A more insidious quality is that of "Christians" practicing what they preach when their message is one of hatred, in the guise of Christianity, and intolerance.

Majority of the time, no. They are really good at doing it for show though, with their congregation and the like. My ex is a "true Christian" you know what I'm saying? She does everything with the help of a really fuc_ed up family law system to keep me away as a father to my kids. I guess Jesus says that this is ok.....I really don't think so.

Because you stated specifically as asking for an opinion, which forms of Christianity do you speak of? There are 19 subdivisons of the faith and practice of it.

not really .....They are very close minded. When it comes to any opinion about religious concepts that don't conform to their guidelines....they don't seem to possess the ability to accept compromise by education. When challenged they can become "pure evil" almost "SATANIC" in their quest for what they perceive is the "ONLY" solution. I find most to be practicing HYPOCRITES.

They try. They REALLY try. But they don't. The reason? They tend to forget that Jesus was part God AND part human.
The focus shouldn't be on what we should or should not do, it should be on how we can better serve God by acting together in order to ensure the safety and longetivity of the entire planet, which, in my opinion, is part of the Kingdom of God.
Trying to enforce archaic rules from an archaic book is akin to trying to teach Gutenberg-Bible era English to text-messaging teenagers: it borders on the futile.
Jesus was one of the greatest humans because of his humanity. He showed us how to treat each other in spite of our differences (e.g. religion, economic class, social class). We really need to embrace this aspect of his teaching, not the "Thou shalt not" aspect (which he didn't even espouse that much).
