I'm a die hard Rush fan...complete with shifts to 6/8 and 13/8 time signatures. Love to play their music on bass and guitar. These are the most challenging to me (not in any particular order):

On Bass, try to learn with only one finger anything by James Jamerson. The man was and still is the greatest of all time.

Heh- pretty much ANYTHING by the classic 70s prog rock bands.
If you can play ANYthing by Yes, Rush or ELP noto-for-note you'll have my undying respect...

Master of Puppets by Metallica ...it took me forever to get it right on guitar and i dont play bass so i cant help ya there
