On his computer, you will need to set the wireless network settings to match yours. In particular, the network SSID (basically the network name) and WEP/WAP encryption key, if any.
Also, you didn't mention whether his computer is a desktop or portable? On laptops/notebooks, there is often a switch which turns the wireless card on/off. When that switch sits in the off position, you won't be able to see any wireless networks or connect to them.

Insure that the wireless card is turned ON. This can be either a physical switch or electronically in the control program for the wireless card.

If you are positive that his computer has a wireless card, then you may need to set some options to tell it to use the wireless connection.

if the cd set up wizard doesn't do it, you may have call belkin tech support.
my lap top did almost the same thing, except I have one computer at home. I spent 20min on the phone w/tech support
to get my computer to read the router(Also Belkin). Hope this helps.

go to wireless networks and then click search for available wireless networks....then click refresh network lists -- your wireless network should appear as an option....double click that wireless network as an option from the available ones and it should connect
it may ask you for a network secuirty key if you are set up on a secure wireless network
i hope this helps

Checkout the wireless settings on your husband's computer ... specifically the ssid (network name).
Setup this same ssid on the new laptop under wireless settings.
good luck
