try rephasing the question ..you do NOT want to improve your turbo lag ..you want to reduce it

You could replace the turbo with one which has lower intertia. Usually this means going with a smaller turbo.

You could also consider dumping the turbo and installing a supercharger. Vortech ond Rotrex make centrifugal superchargers, and there may be a tuner that has a kit for the Seat. Superchargers don't have the lag the turbos do.

There are lots of tuning companies that will remap your engine, and unleash much more power with your current turbo, with a rolling road they can also set it up so the power comes in lower down teh rev range. Are you sure that it is running correctly 'cause there shouldn't be a lot of lag.

Change the turbo to a lower pressure one.
Or switch it out for a super.
