Most of the dream I was running away, trying to escape, and finally "they" (no clue who they were) caught me and tortured me.
In one part of the dream, I had a magic wand I was using to kill people ... and distinctly remember being curious that I didn't feel bad about it. Somehow one of us being tortured escaped and killed all the torturers, and then we were all really sore, but not afraid anymore.

Trying to escape = feeling helpless
being caught and tortured = being criticized and talked about
Using magic wand to kill people = Anger, and Ego showing.
You hate your job, yes and that is stress. It may not be from engagement but definitely from your job. Since you hate your job so much. You somehow vent out your helpless feeling in your dream.
Projecting being tortured and caught in dream shows sigh of criticism. You probably feel helpless about things you do at work. After all, you are doing you job. Having magic wand to kill people projected symbolizes your anger and you ability. You want to show them what you can do. In other words, you want to control. You feel helpless because lots of time in reality you are losing control. That's why you have this kind of dream vent out.
Word of advice:You should relax a bit, watch some comedy after work. Exercise more or switch field if possible It is hard to fight it, but you will have to try

Your dream is actually self-explanatory, you don't like your job--feels like being tortured, you would love to switch job by the waving of the magic wand, but reality sets in, financially you can't and coming to that conclusion you can keep up the job until you can find something else and escape. In the meantime you're escaping to your family. And since you've dreamed about it, it means your subconscious is putting everything in the correct order and you will feel better, because you subconsciously handled your problems.

possibly not some thing, yet desires are bright. Your experience of the unknown at being an adolescent, conserving the international at bay with locks that do not artwork. basically time I ever had those helpless variety terrible desires replaced into in my early adulthood and at the same time as i replaced into taking antidepressants in my late 20's.
