Hey Harry Potter fans J.K. Rowling has announced that the new book about Harry is title "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows." This is something she wrote "I'm now writing scenes that have been planned, in some cases, for a dozen years or even more," she wrote. "I don't think anyone who has not been in a similar situation can possibly know how this feels: I am alternately elated and overwrought. I both want, and don't want, to finish this book (don't worry, I will.)"
She did not gave anymore information about the book or any publication date.
Hope you guys like the infor I got you, pluse you can read this in the yahoo part.

Thanks a lot for the info, it's really nice of you to post this and let everyone know. :)

The title didn't surprise me because I was expecting it to have something to do with spirit or a religious meaning. Since 'hallow' basically means to make something sacred, and the title is Deathly Hallows, then this must mean that Harry is going to become sacred or achieve some kind of state of human superiority by means that have to do with death. That's just my conclusion and my own theory, but it is supported by other theories I have read on websites.

There's this website that analyzes the Alchemy meaning in HP and so far they've been right about everything. They even predicted that the title will have a religious meaning and it seems like they were right. You should definitely check their site for more info on what will happen in the last book:http://www.harrypotterforseekers.com/

I've been trying to keep up on Harry Potter. I love the books and the movies both. JRK is such a good writer that it's hard to remember what you've read and what you've seen only in the movies. Her characters are so real that you could swear you watched something in a movie, that you really only read. The last I read about the book, they're trying to have it ready to release around the same time as the new Movie. I read that on Yahoo news less than a week ago. The new movie is due out July 13th 2007. I'm hoping for a summer release. You can bet I'll be preordering THAT one. I just hope she doesn't kill him off. Surely there's a way to insure that no one else can write about her characters, without her consent. They're hers, she created them. This shouldn't be any different than someone's new ingenious invention. They're her creation. She should have to feel compelled to kill him off, just to keep him hers. I can only hope that one day, when her kids are grown, that she'll miss Harry as much as we all will, and she'll want to pick the story up again. She's been planning these books for decades now. I can't see her just stopping after book 7 and not missing it.

Frankly I'm jealous of her writing ablility. I've always loved to write, but I could never ever get anywhere near her.

Hey thanks for this. Did you read this part of the article? "Rowling, 41, admitted on her website this week that she was under stress as she wrote the closing chapters of the final Potter novel -- in which she has hinted that the beloved hero may be killed off."
I would really hate if that happens as would everyone else that have been great Harry fans all of these years. I am just really hoping to get some answers to some serious mysteries. Well we shall see

It is "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows."
I am very excited! I looked up Hallow in the online Webster dictionary. It means to make holy devoted or venerate. It's opposite is to desecrate.

When I ran the Microsoft Thesaurus is gave me consecrate or make holy.

Sounds like maybe it is referring to deatheaters or dementors. Possibly Jo is referring to the death eaters as a deadly cult.

Also, James and Lily made their home in Godric’s Hollow, which is quite close to hallow. It would be poetic justice if Voldy died where he killed Harry’s parents.

I can't wait. The way it has gone with the last 6 books is that soon after the title is revealed a release date follows. I hope it comes out this summer.

The information was released on her website which was then cascaded to all press on the same day. I don't know why you bothered to waste the 5 points submitting this question, when we would have all found out anyway.
