honey, don't you know they're way too busy scratching themselves, spitting, checking themselves out in the mirror and watching tv or checking out some hot babe with their buddies, playing xbox/ps/wii and seeing how many peas they can fit up their nose or whatever else it is guys do, to bother with flushing the toilet or making sure the seats down...they have way too much on their minds apparently...did you know most guys don't even bother to shake or wipe...they just zip up...men are icky...but what are we gonna do...as a straight woman I can tell you I can't live with 'em and I can't live without 'em!

Eh, this does not bother me much. If I woke up in the middle of the night and didn't turn the lights on in the bathroom and sat on a cold toilet with the seat up and almost fell in on a regular basis, it might. But, beyond that, it's a minor issue.

Flushing though...I don't really want to see what someone else left behind so definitely...flush, guys! There are plenty of times I've gone in to the ladies' room to find an un-flushed toilet, so this habit is not strictly a mens' problem!

Flushing is a matter of being sanitary. I worry for the hygiene of those who don't flush.

I buy into the whole putting the seat down to be courteous and thoughtful thing, but don't you think it works the other way around, too?
Why don't girls put the seat back up when they're done with it?
Double standard much?
Look at some of the generalizations about guys that the girls are writing in this question. If we came out and starting spouting crap like that about girls, we'd get jumped by guys and girls alike calling us sexists and chauvinist pigs. Why is it okay one way, and not another?

I'm not saying that I do this sort of stuff in real life. I accept that society is mired in this double standard and act accordingly. Still, it just makes no sense on a philosophical level, you know?

lol, it's not too hard for me....but I think the better question is, why does not putting the seat down bother you ladies so much? I can understand the not flushing part, but the seat?? Give us a break.....

I've never has issues with this. I always put the seat and lid down, and flush. I even clean off any "backsplash" if I am at a friend's house.

Maybe it's just the men you are dating.
