for rookies and inserts. for the year 2006 i'm just started with this hobby agian after years ago. just like to know whats hot out there to collect and what boxs is the best this year...

Looking at something to get you interested and an easy chance to pick up several top rookies, some interesting inserts, and maybe even a jersey and/or autograph, you might be interested in checking out these low-end products
Bowman, Fleer, Score, Upper Deck
Medium to higher end products have better rookies and inserts, but chances of pulling powerhouse rookies and/or incredible jersey or autograph cards diminish greatly. I made a few good pulls from Donruss Grid Iron Gear (including jersey auto card of Jason Avant and an oversized jersey card of LenDale White) and Topps Turkey Red (Reggie Bush RC, Matt Leinart RC, Matt Leinart jersey).
It is all about luck in the end when it comes to collecting. If you are coming back into the hobby, then start slow and even try to put a set or two together. I like how Topps looks with their basic cards and Fleer's set is rather easy to put together as well.
Also, check out eBay for any decent deals for 2006 and maybe 2005 as well. Good luck with the hobby. If you have any other questions, don't hesitate to ask.
