I think there's going to be a revival of more 40's, 50's and 60's styles. Designers always look to style icons from certain eras like Audrey Hepburn, Sophia Loren. Real style icons. But today's fashion will have a blend of updated modernity. The 80's retro fashion will take a back seat to men wearing crisp masculine looking clothes that fit well, no baggy jeans (there always will be jeans - but men will have other options). Women will wear feminine pretty clothes that flatter the figure (think Nicole Kidman and Scarlett Johansson - not Brittney Spears or Paris Hilton).
Fashion is always exciting because it's so temporary.
Hot today, cold tomorrow.

I think the casual look at work will change and men will go back to wearing button down shirts with ties, nice slacks and sports jackets or suit jackets. Women will start wearing dresses and suits with skirts. The women's clothes will fall at the knee and SHOULDER PADS will be back. Then, maybe by the end of next year, we might see stirrup pants coming back for women's casual wear.

Well, since we are coming out of the hip hugger bell bottom phase of the 70's, my guess is the whole leg warmer and leotard thing a la "flashdance' (80's). I guess parachute pants could also make a big comeback.

I think everyone in fashion industry does the same question, my opinion is that fashion isn't always repeating, but alienating. Same tendencies probably but viewed in other perspective.

i say mini dresses. They're all over the s/s 07 fashion shows. So the gym is calling...i wanna get my legs looking as good as possible before the summer :D. (actually the gym will start calling after new years...:P)
