There are alot of funky odd Xmas movies out there.
Of course the most obvious of choices would have to be the classic "Christmas Rush" with Dean Cain and Eric Roberts.
I also enjoyed the dark ages bit in Terry Gilliam's 1982 "Time Bandits" where they mention Christmas in an era where all holidays and religious dates were forgotten by the masses... It was a funny bit that forever will be remembered!
I find most hollywood commercial flicks centered and around christmas are mostly gross exaggerations and mushy/typical candy fare for the masses. There are exceptions, as I am certain there must be SOME Xmas flicks out there with substance, but in a world of "Santa Clause" and "Home Alone" movies, one can get bored pretty quickly!

My absolute favorite Christmas movie is Home Alone 2. Tim Curry makes that movie! I just sit there and crack up the entire time!

Best Christmas movie is Home for the Holidays. Its funny, its sentimental, its real. Holly Hunter plays an artist who goes home for the holidays and ends up meeting the man of her dreams. Her brother in the movie is played by Robert Downey Jr. Lots of stars power in this movie. The dad is hilarious when he goes out and starts washing everyones cars after the dinner.
