like graphics that make you feel you are there, everything else is secondary. I like the ability to explore an entire city without actually leaving home. What are some good game choices for me for PLAYSTATION 2 ???? Grand theft auto 3 although a good game is getting pretty old.

Since you mentioned the Grand Theft Auto series, I'd highly suggest trying Bully. It plays really similar to GTA, except the violence is much more juvenile (probably because it was made by Rockstar, the same company that created GTA). You'll have to do missions, attend classes (or don't, just don't get caught), and explore the new towns that open up as you progress.

As The Answer IX suggested, also try God of War. The game is a bit more adult, but the graphics are pretty awesome and the gameplay is nearly perfect. After playing it, I even commented to my boyfriend that God of War was probably the most perfect game I'd played. Everything balanced itself out so well, and things seemed pretty realistic.

Along the same lines, try out Tomb Raider: Legend. Yeah, you'll play as a girl, but this game is probably the best of the Tomb Raider series. We all know Angel of Darkness stunk (crappy controls, etc), but this game is nearly flawless. It also reminds me a lot of Resident Evil 4, where you can actually participate in some of the cutscenes by pressing the right buttons at the right times (and if you don't, well...adios).

Speaking of which, Resident Evil 4 might be another good one to try. It's quite a take on the Resident Evil series, and it's quite good. I personally think the maps are a bit linear, but the gameplay makes up for it.

I'd also suggest looking through GameTrailers in the Playstation 2 section. You can find lots of games listed there, and also get a look at the graphics by watching the trailers. I always browse that site when I'm looking to rent or buy a new game.

Most people believe that Grand Theft Auto shouldn't even be rated M but A (Adults only.) Sure, most M rated games are violent, but not enough to be considered "A" by most people. I play M rated games all the time, but I believe Grand Theft Auto promotes violence in the real world. It pretty sad that a game requires you to shoot police in some cases. Other M rated games are mostly fantasy and don't go to that extent.

I work in a game shop called Cherry Bomb Games and the one that I see sell the best would be Ghost Recon ( Squad Based Battlefield Combat ). It has anywhere betweein 15 - 20 missions, very detailed and realistic, 1-2 players, and the graphics are amazingly awesome!
