Algebra Class
Detached, blurry
like a dream
Pinch me
I won't wake up

thoughts
swirling in my head

eyes almost
drooping shut

useless numbers and letters
shape shifting to whatever

vampires and werewolves
blueberries and chocolate

doodling in the margins
stick figure murder

bell rings
good night

I don't really hate algebra. In fact, I like math. It's just my teacher's voice is sooo monotonous. I didn't understand graphing parabolas and he started talking about Bruce Wayne and Batman. I mean...what the heck??

you capture your attitude well, but I think if you lengthened it, maybe added a few stanzas that were longer than 2 lines, giving more description of what your teacher does, etc, it could be even better.

WOW. I loved it. that's not cliche in any respect and that i love the little bit of irony. there is not some thing incorrect with darkish poems.. this has a dismal area yet yet its very uplifting. The absence of any punctuation maked the element of p.c. even extra glaring. i love the imagary and rythm and scheme you chosen to apply. and under no circumstances many human beings understand, the shorter the poem the harder that is to furnish it a deeper meaning yet you captured the essence of loss in an person-friendly and captivating way. save up the coolest artwork and save posting.

It's a very good atmosphere poem. You definitely have some talent. I wish you hadn't given so many background explanations though. Japanese poetics has a wor, "yugen" meaning mystery, ineffability. You took away much of that by explaining. But the poem in itself is good. Keep it up!

This is supremo! It's your innocence in your voice still where it hasn't been manipulated yet. It is a good poem.
