My one aunt would always give me strange things because her and her husband didn't have any children themselves. They would buy my brother and I weird clothes or toys that weren't any fun. I always faked excitement and happiness because I felt bad. My aunt had brain surgery so she was never quite right. Anyways, when we got older we always asked for gift certificates. I guess when you really take into account what this time of year is all about you don't get too upset over the odd little quirks of your family. Thats what my parents always taught us.

My cheapskate relatives always give me socks. And they weren't even good socks: just cotton ones from the cheap store. On top of that, I didn't have an appreciation for socks back then, and in my opinion socks had no utility whatsoever. It wasn't until I grew up and became a beachbum hiker that I came to value good socks for sparing my feet from bruises and blisters.

My aunt Ramona. Her gifts were always used, ugly or just plain useless! One year I got a pair of blue and white, striped, bell bottom, polyester pants! With an elastic waist! I was nine!

my aunts and uncles. They only bought me presents because they had to. Never wanted to. So I got the crappiest gifts from them. And the BEST from my big brothers.

My aunt. She would always get me some ugly knit sweaters with kitten's or something equally "cute" on it. Ugh. Never wore one thing she got me.

My mom's, she always bought my diet pills as a joke I guess, and after years of being called fat. I suffered from anorexia and then bulimia both. I am still not quite right today.
