Yes, yes it does. I have owned mine for 3 years and I love to let it loose and it does its thing. The only issue I have with it is when it is time to clean it. I don't like pulling it apart to clean it. But it works on pet hair, hard floors and carpet. Real time saver.

As the owner of one, I said yes! They're best on hard flooring, and they're great for keeping things in order between serious cleanings. I have 3 cats and they track in lots of yard debris. The vacuum picks it up nicely, even the attached brush works the material out of the corner and against the wall.
Just remember to always plug it into the recharger after you use it...then it's ready for the next time without having to wait for it to recharge.
They also give me the freedom to do other things - not bad for anyone

Good luck

I have one and it seems to work fine. The only problem I have is that when I moved the battery was frozen. You can never freeze a battery like that or it dies. I had to replace the battery, but that wasn't really preventable - I couldn't have taken it on the plane either. I'd hoped that moving around May 1 would prevent that, but not on the Prairies. I don't have carpet though - just bare floor.

Robotic vacuums

Best for their novelty and low effort between regular vacuuming in uncluttered rooms.
But they’re expensive as a group and time-consuming to set up and run. Most also tended to miss edges and corners in our tests.
Price $200 to $1,800.

Buying advice
High-priced, feature-laden machines don't necessarily deliver better cleaning. You'll find plenty of strong performers at a reasonable price

I know someone who has one and yes, they do work (only if you don't have a bunch of clutter in your house like I do). My friend doesn't have clutter.
