I don't think he is, but I know one of the main characters are supposed to die. Ron or Hermione?

I've heard some rumors too, and I'm thinking I believe them. What does Harry have after Voldemort's dead? He could become an auror and hunt down the rest of the Death Eaters, but that would be anti-climactic. No, Harry's going to die, I think. Hell, he may not even be the one to kill Voldemort. That would be fantastic, wouldn't it?!

No, I doubt she could do that to her favorite character. =]
I think we'll nicer ending than Rowling's protagonist succumbing to the forces of evil/dieing at the hands of Voldemort. But that's just my opinion.

Personally, I think the publisher has agents releasing conflicting rumors just to build suspense and anticipation...that's my opinion after hearing completely opposite rumors, all purporting to be from a 'for sure' source.
We're gonna hafta wait and see i think....

I don't think he's supposed to die, that would ruin the story-line. I hope Harry finds Snape and kills him. I always knew Snape was bad... From the very moment Harry met him. I still can't believe they killed Sirius Black. But I really mad that they killed DUMBLEDOR! I mean of all people to kill....

she has hinted that harry might be killed off in the book, but it's not for sure. yahoo's homepage has a buch of articles and clips of interviews with rowling, so you can check it out for yourself.

I don't think so because if you read the book Dumbledore told him that he wouldn't be going to Hogwarts next year.
