Word pad & note pad?

My old computer had windows 98.This one has Windows XP.I saved somethings on floppy with the old one and when I try to open them it comes up can not load windows 6.0 files.I know so little about computers.Can you tell me an easy way to load if it can be done Thank you very much

I don't think "Windows 6.0" is the correct reference. Do you mean "Word 6.0". If this is the case you probably need a version of Microsoft Word and a converter to open the older files. Converters can be found on www.microsoft.com.
