the trailblazer has a 4.2 straight 6 in it not very fast on bottom end like at take off but good acc. when up to speed. you can put a chip in the computer but you have to remember that the moter you have has been engenieered to the horsepower and torque that it comes with from the factory.. i would not rec. changing any aspect of the peformance system. if you change the motor to the 5.3 v8 your wil have more power but it will be very expensive.. you would chance alot including the pcm.

Increase it's ability to breath more freely. Get a K&N air filter, put on a Flow Master exhaust and kick up the spark.

You can buy a better air filter system. You can get about 15 more horsepower from a free flowing air intake and it doens't cost that much. You can order them from any auto-parts store or website.

i own a shop,and you can change the air intake system on it ,and also use performance injectors on it,,this will help it a lot,,you,ll gain about 12-20 horse power this way,,good luck hope this help,s.,,have a good x-mas.

Get a hotter cam. More grunt and it sounds cool too.
