I consider myself an attractive woman and am VERY CURVACEOUS, not a waif or twig thin and I absolutely HATE working out...I'm not morbidly obese or ANYWHERE near it...
I find that most men are only interested in women that works out religiously and has a wafer thin body. What is the big deal? A Woman is SUPPOSED to have curves and some meat on her bones. There was a time when that was the norm and the models/actresses of that time were considered sex symbols (think Marilyn Monroe) but now if you don't fit into a size 2 then no one gives you a second thought. Are there any men that don't fall for the hype of the pencil thin girlies? Just wondering...

Hi Michelle,

I am like you! I HATE working out, but being former military I had to do it....I've always considered myself to be a fairly decent looking person and in fairly decent shape, but not qualified for model status either...... I was single up until about 5 years ago and totally disgusted because the men seemed to want the women you describe...it was way too frustrating....I tried to be pencil thin but it was soooo hard, so I just gave up...FINALLY I met a wonderful guy....

Get this...he thought I was too thin and said, "real men want something they can hold onto, they don't want to feel bones when they hug you"! It was LOVE!!!! hahahaha.... Well, I married him.... I've gained 5 pounds since we have been together and after having a baby...I look much better than I did before.....

The point is....( I looked at your 360)...You are very beautiful, and you love the Lord....trust him to bring you the man that deserves you and appreciates you for who you are. You may find yourself frustrated at times, but you are right....a woman is supposed to have curves and some meat on her bones! You're probably no more than a size 6 if not a 4 so you shouldn't have to worry about a thing!!!!

Good Luck and God Bless, have a wonderful holiday!!!

I used to have an eating disorder, so there are still days when I look in the mirror and get pissed that I don't see Twiggy's reflection, but most days I'd rather be Marilyn. She had a more beautiful face and body in my opinion... I just hate how anyone that isn't a size two is regarded as a cow anymore... But you are right... There are four single girls in my apartment, but the guys around here all talk about ONE, the skinniest one. It's the same with my friends. When we'd go out, the short, scary-skinny one is the first to get hit on EVERY time... And I think one of the others is probably 100 times prettier, smarter, funnier, and nicer... But that's not what the typical guy wants... They are pigs though, so I don't know why we care what they want.. LOL

I know this question is for men, however, I would like to comment. In the African American Culture, curvaceous women are considered beautiful, and much more attractive then model/actress framed women. In our culture a women too thin may be considered to have a drug problem or unhealthy. I am sure the European Culture think totally different.

I'm half Brazilian, and the men in Brazil won't give you a second glance if you're pencil thin. They like women with curves! Think Beyonce and J-Lo...that's what they like. They don't even like Gisele Bundchen (even though she's Brazilian) because she's too thin. They like medium sized breasts (like a size B) with a nice, round, juicy behind with hips and curves. Now there's always an exception, but I would definitely say over half the men in the world would agree...CURVES ROCK!

black men prefer thicker women and all guys dont want pencil thin girls atleast not the black media, black guys tell me im too skinny, a lot of white guys say i look fine but here is the thing, a guy wont care about how think u are if he really loves you, be happy with the way god made you. i think i have a great body, im skinny and i have curves, a butt, and boobs, im not rail thin. i get sick of people thinking that a skinny cant have curves, i mean just becasue some people have meat on their bones doesn't mean they have a butt ive seen fat gurls with flat as.ses

THERE ARE BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE IN EVERY SHAPE, SIZE, AND COLOR

Somewhere in between. I think you are mistaken about most men ... because, being a man, knowing myself, and hearing men talk I know we like breasts ... and most women who are very thin do not have them. By the way, you can work out and still be curvaceous, and be thin and not work out. The work out part is separate from body type, it helps your heart, brain, and attitude to work out - walking included.

Really, I was just thinking about that when i woke up and took a good look at myself. I am also curvy, and I would hate to be one of those pencil thin girls. It's so unhealthy. I mean, it kinda grosses me out- the really bony ones. They look like skeletons. Sad, actually. I think a women should have curves and the man should be the one to work out. The overly muscular women gross me out too.

The majority of men don't like the anorexic/bulimic/crack whore look at all.

Stop looking at Elle, Cosmo, Vanity Fair, etc. The only people who think the waif look is hot are deluded magazine editors and gay fashion designers.

If you want to really see what a good majority of men want, just take a look at Playboy magazines or even online porn. Although many of them are implanted and airbrushed, curves still rule.
