On the sides of my corel plates every 2 inches there is a redish maybe rust spot , Even I go downtown on it with steel wool it almost gets rid of it. Is there something that works on COREL.by CORNING

It's probably not spaghetti sauce, it probably is rust. My guess is that the plate was next to a carbon-steel knife in the dishwasher and it got rust from the knife on it. You can prevent this in the future by not putting any carbon-steel next to it. But as for what to take it off, I have no idea. (In fact, I think we have a few of those spots on our Corelle plates!)

Naval jelly takes rust of all kinds of things, but I'm not sure I'd want to eat off a plate that was treated with naval jelly. Maybe for the sake of your family's health you could just leave it alone.

If you really can't stand it, I don't think a new set of Corelle is too terribly expensive.
