I have seen a dog climbing a tree, it was a Pitbull and it was trying to reach a toy that its owner had put on the top of the trunk. If you look for Pitbull dogs videos in YouTube you might find some images, they can climb pretty tall!

Yep, if the tree is fairly easy to climb...they can't shimmy up like a squirrel of course. I know foxes are not exactly dogs, but the grey fox climbs trees/bushes quite regularly.

Its pretty freaky you're asking this cos I saw that very thing today! It was on www.video.google.co.uk , i think put "animals funny" in the search bit & it was in a compilation only a few mins long.
He didnt get too far though......the funniest was a dog jumping up some stairs one step at a time! lol

I had a dog climb a tree to retrieve a ball. I took pictures but they didn't turn out! Grr!

see putting your canine on the treadmill does pay off. And yes some dogs can climb trees but it is not that often.

i've seen a dog run up a really steep tree.
it's more like skilled running, not so much climbing.
