to be honest road tax will never be done away with road tax is just another way for the government to make more money and yes people say its for road repair and other stuff the truth is its a lie what do you think income tax is for its for road repairs and other things the public need so the government is a very sorry government who doesnt care like they pretend too.

I Know it's obvious but petrol duty is already a mileage tax and we don't need another layer of bureaucracy to collect it.
As usual the country people without proper public transport will be hit the hardest

No way! They have just announced compulsory payments into state pension but did not cut the National Insurance to help fund it.
