Yes. Ovulation doesnt occur at mid cycle for over two thirds of people. The text books have been found to be not very accurate by scientists recently. Only 30% of women ovulate on day 14 of a 28 day cycle, and even if you did ovulate on this day, it has also been found that women don't always ovulate on the same day each month.

Yes! It happened to me.
You can get pregnant at any time during your cycle. You can even get pregnant DURING your period (although it is unusual).
Always use two forms of birth control at the same time if you are trying to avoid pregnancy.
If you are trying to get pregnant, try whenever you can, not just during the ovulation period that textbooks define.

Yes infact you are more likely to get pregnant closer to your period as that that is the time you are most likely ovulating.

im not sure i did an ovulation chart and my chances of getting pregnant were more likely 2-3 days after my period why don't you get an ovulation test or find an ovulation chart i don't remember the exact website but you can google it and im quite sure lefemmbonita.com has ovulation charts
