I recently had a son and named him Brady Kole. I wanted to name him Sebastian Kole. Everyone told me that it was a horrible name and it reminded them of the little mermaid. I think my son looks like a Sebastian and I love the name. Next time I have a child I really would like to name him Sebastian. Do you think everyone was right and I did the right thing switching to Brady?

I have a Sebastian! We call him Bastian for short. We had a list of names we brought to the hospital s we could name him after we saw him. A little advice....we didn't tell ANYONE the names we had on our list. Sometimes helpful advice from family and friends isn't so helpful. Besides the Little Mermaid re-release last month the movie hadn't even been around for like ten years. And chances are your little BOY probably wouldn't want to see it!

Well it really reminds me of The Little Mermaid too..or a cat for some reason. But hey Ryan Phillipe was able to pull off the name Sebastian in the movie Cruel Intentions. Honestly I think Brady is the worse name of the two!! Come on the Brady Bunch!

Well brady is a nice name and that is what you named him so you can't go back on that now.
I like the name Sebastian. When i hear that name i think of that guy in that band skid row not the little mermaid.
I love the name however and you should name your kids what ever you want because you are the one going through all of the pain of having the baby so don'y you think you are entitled to name him/her whatever?
I know i named my whatever i wanted even though people would say that name is dumb or it sounds this way or that way. Do you think i listened? No i named him Julian anyhow. I mean my god the name julian is a very pretty name, no matter what name you come up with someone always has something to say about it.
Next time do not listen to anyone.

Brady Kole is a very nice name. Sebastian reminds me of Ryan Phillipi in Cruel Intentions. My daughter loves The little mermaid and she calls him Bastien.

You shouls ALWAYS name your child what you feel is best. Never be swayed by the opinions of others because in the end you're the one whose utterly responsible for him, I like the name Sebastian Kole or even as a middle name Aidan Sebastian. I plan to name my kids whatever I choose. Its one of the greatest decisions you have to make in your life so you should take your time and go with what feel's right to you.

I love the name Sebastian. It's very urbane. Sebastian Kole is really smooth. But it also sounds gay. So, depending upon where you live, the name is fantastic. I would have kept the name.
My parents changed my name before I reached six months. My father couldn't stand pronouncing my first name (Mom's choice). They switched my first and middle around. I'm glad they did. I'm telling you this because - and I am really really sorry - I'm not crazy for the name Brady.

I have always loved the name Sebastian and I love the nicknames Sebbie and Bastian too. I wouldn't worry too much about what everyone else thinks. If you want to call your baby Sebastian now, go for it. When he grows up he can choose between the two.
When you live your dreams, you inspire your children to live theirs. Everytime you call the kid Sebastian it will be important and purposeful. It will be filled with love and admiration not just for the name, but for yourself and your child. Kids can sense things like that.

I personally love the name... My Best Friends baby boy is named Sebastian and my cousin is planning on using that name if she is lucky to have a boy next time....
