I think it is one of those 'last one out's a rotten egg' kinda situations.

normally it would be the one born first...but technically born at the same time the father would more then likely pick the child more capable and favored. in the end one boy would rule and as a fathers wish...the other would be either next to follow until another son by the favored is born. None the less the "second" would still play an important roll.

The first one out of the mother, or the father could divide the land equally for the both of them. The father could even see which one proved to be a wise leader and great conquerer to have his throne. Ever heard of "Survival of the Fitest".

If it were boy twins, it would be the first born, if it were fraternal twins and the girl was born first, then it would be the boy twin.
