If you weren't sure about that why did you bought it? Have that serviced by a mechanic.

I wouldn't. It's just a band aid. If you intend on keeping the truck have it checked out where the leaks are coming from and what would be the cost to fix. The steering pump could just be a loose line and the tranny could be the bottom pan. Both relatively easy to repair.
I don't believe any damage would occur. The leaks may still be there.

I have been in the auto repair industry for many years, I have never seen that kind of 'bandaid' help at all, mostly, it is just a waste of money, although, on occasion it can cause more problems. Have your vehicle repaired, you will feel a lot better driving down the road not having to worry about these 'bandaids'.

i own a repair shop, and this stuff works ,once in a while,,usually it doesn't help, most of the time i have seen it used in transmissions,,it didn't help any,,in power steering pumps sometimes it will help,,its up to you ,,i wont use it,,because of a few times it has caused more problems than good,,use your best judgment,,remember if it sounds to good to be true,it probably isn't,and that's a good thing to remember when using this stuff,it doesn't always work,,good luck ,i hope this help,s.,,have a good x-mas.

All it does is swell up the rings and seals, eventually they will swell up so much that they won't allow good fluid to pass through. Best thing is to keep adding fluid of just have the thing repaired.

I try anything I can before taking any of my vehicles to a shop. Can't trust 95% of em.
