Glass cook top cleaner is the best....don't use an abrasive sponge either...it scratches....I know because I used cooktop cleaner and a scotch brite scrubbie when I had something boil over and really scratched up a spot on my brand new cooktop...boy was I mad...I guess I should have known. If something is really stuck on...use the cooktop cleaner, let it sit for awhile and then scrape gently with a wide razor blade. Ceramic cooktops do scratch so whatever you do be gentle!!! Good luck!

Clean with sponge or cleaner. Take a razor blade to the crusty parts. Clean again. Use that glass cooktop polish.

Oven cleaner should do the trick! Just spray it on and wait a few mins. then wipe it off! It works wonders! Just don't use it on plastic/ fiberglass/rubber surfaces because it will eat away at them. Only use it on very hard surfaces like porcelain, glass, ceramics.........

I want best answer!

My mom uses Vim paste. It won't scratch, and works even better, than the cleaners that are made for ceramic/glass cook tops.

I use the glass cook top cleaner found at TArget etc. and the green scrubbing pads. It seems to work the best. You would think the green scotch brite pads would scratch it but it doesn't.

Look at your local grocery for "Barkeepers Friend". It is found in the cleaning supplies department. It comes in a can the same as Kitchen Cleanser. It works great.

Place in a tub of hot water and standard hand washing dishsoap.
Give it about 15 minutes and any coatings should come right off.
