I watched this home improvement show...I think it might have been Trading Spaces, and they couldn't get the wax out of the carpet, so what they did was cut a square of the carpet out around the wax and then they took a square from the carpet in a closet and replaced it. Viola! Wax gone.

get a paper bag lay it over the wax put a heated iron over the paper bag. The heat of the iron melts the wax and the paper bag soaks it up. You may have to do this a few times move the bag around so you are not using the same spot twice. It may work with newspaper also.

Candle wax is very difficult to get out, but you can get a fork and try to scrape it off and then vacuum the wax up. If this doesn't work you can try to get a cleaner that may remove it.

keep the carpet upside down and use a flame to melt the wax.

If it is pure paraffin wax, it should be soluble in ether, benzene and some esters. So if you can get ur hands on those - u can clean it up

Take a paper towel and lay it on top of the wax and take a iron on low heat with steam and lay it on top of the paper towel and move it around and within a minute of so lift it up and the wax should be on the paper towel.

try the brown bag and iron trick....scrape off what you can, then lay a brown paper bag over the wax, lightly go over it with a warm iron, moving the bag until you get all the wax up. This really works!!~~~
good luck

Goo Gone.
I've also heard that freezing will work. Put something in the freezer for a while and make that wax cold.

try either freezing it or using a piece of paper ironing it and as it melts the wax should be absorbed by the paper :o)

Try ironing a brown bag over it, I'm pretty sure that I saw that on tv.
