Yes there is a very definite manner upon which to reach all moral and principle truth, the first process in reaching this is to stop lying to one's self. This is a common trait found in all people and among all mankind, we continually find some worse than us because we constatly compare ourselves to others. Everyone wishes and does think themselves the more supeior resulting in the continuation of acts that are false and not very pleasurable to the person doing it. Such as say the preoccupation of women for the most part to their looks, if you don't look preety there is no need to lie to yourself by creating a disguise, admit the fact and pursue other endevours. Likewise can be said of men trying to impress women pursuing certain careers and actions that is not really resultant of one's true will and self, merely to put forth an appearance.

It is not so much the amount that someone knows but how it is interpreted that leads to 'truth'. For example, if an individual were to have encyclopedic knowledge of diverse things and construed them all to relate to each other in an unrealistic fashion, than that individual has a great capacity of knowledge, but a horrendous understanding. Quantity is, therefore, not enough. It is more so applying a sound methodology when examining facts that leads to the asymptote of 'truth.'
The scientific method, for example, allows one to incorportate tests, observations, known facts, and interpretation when designing a system of knowledge and 'truth.'
With this method, knowledge may be validated, applied and undertstood. The journey towards truth them becomes more evident.
Still, this is not enough. Since humans are limited in their capacity to fathom the universe (by means of only have five senses, living strictly on Earth, and having no means to witness the past or the future in anything but predictions and 'fossils' of evidence), there is a Socratic surrender that must be acknowledged in order to achieve 'truth' in an honest way. This 'honest' admission is the following: "Humankind, especially I myself, can never know and understand everything." Consequently, anything which humans employ to attempt to explain 'everything' is automatically flawed.

In sum, the 'ways of knowing' that are most effective for the pursuit of truth are: sound, logical methodology used when reasoning, testing, and observaing; empirical data used for the tests and interpretations, and an acknowledgement that more truth can be known and understood, but all truth is impossible to know and understand because humans are limited.

King David in the Old Testament said that truth is the sum of the Word of God.
That's a powerful observation regardless of one's own personal notions.
Gather as many pieces as you may....
“What we are looking for is what is looking " is a fascinating observation by St. Francis of Assisi.
Don't rely on any one "way" to wisdom. You'll know the pieces when and where you find them.

Our minds are finite. God's ways are infinite. If you seek after earthly truth, you will always be disapointed. If you seek after heavenly truth, you will be wise and fullfilled.
