i info it has been said by the people in the lifeboats of the titanic. that they could hear explosions after se went down but i can't find any info on it. it makes sense that they would have since it would have been the stern impolding on it's way to the bottom. any body else heard this to

Yes, I've heard it. They said it was the water hitting the furnaces down below. It could also have been some of the stacks giving way; those things get loud. The book "Night to Remember" by Walter Lord tells about it.

Explosions were reported as the cold water initially hit the steam boilers. Subsequent explosion-like noise were the deck and superstucture breaking amidships, and then the windows, etc. blowing out from pressure as Titanic sank.
