McNabb 10 316 180 57.0 2647 8.38 18 6
Garcia 4 162 100 61.7 1042 6.43 9 1
(Games started, attempts, completions, percentage completed, yardage, yards per completion, TDs, INTs)
Very comparable numbers when you look at the statistics.
Philly is on a 3-game win streak and are 8-6 currently, this means that McNabb was 5-5 when went down for the season. If Garcia wins the last two games, he will be 5-1. With similar numbers and a better W-L record, Garcia is actually positioned to fight McNabb for the starting job with the Eagles. If that happens, McNabb could see more bench time in the next season or look for another team to start for. Garcia could be the "Golden Boy" for Philadelphia.

Garcia will leave the Eagles as a free agent.
McNabb is still the main man in Philly, but look for the Eagles to draft a QB this year. McNabb has now had three season-ending injuries.
McNabb's numbers were amazing this year before his injury. The key to Garcia's success is that the offense is FINALLY using Brian Westbrook the way he's supposed to be used.
McNabb will be back, but the Eagfles offensive coordinator needs to realize that Westbrook is just as important as McNabb in this offense. I would even go so far as to say that McNabb would STILL be playing this year if they had gone more to Westbrook sooner rather than later this year.

This is a pattern in Jeff Garcia's career - he'll look good for a while, then he'll suddenly fall back. He's always had ability, but it's the consistency that he's been lacking.
As for next season, I doubt he'll displace McNabb. Sure, Garcia is on a roll right now, but it likely won't last. He's also 36 years old, and on his third team in three years. There's a reason why he hasn't stuck anywhere as a starter.
It's a nice story, but I'm guessing he reverts back to form soon enough. He's a decent QB playing well above his head.

I think you can't give up somebody with as much talent as mcnabb. Also Garcia is getting older. he is over 35. Mcnabb was actually on pace for a record setting season before he got injured.

McNabb will always be the starter for the Philadephia Eagles as long as he's healthy. But considering 3 out of the last 5 years - Donovan has gone down midway through the season with an year-ending injury - you might just get your wish again.

Pro-bowler McNabb over Garcia. Size and accuracy go to McNabb.

Nope, he could take the Eagles to teh Superbowl and WIN and he STILL wouldn't be the starter. They put too much money into McNabb. He can suck as bad as he wants and won't likely to lose the job. He just needs to do ok and he has the job. He is the Franchise QB and they put the money into him so he will remain the franchise QB.

lol, funny from the guy above.
But in all honesty, lets not jump all over the Garcia bandwagon yet. He has had some games, but lets see how he does against a quality team like the Cowboys this weekend.
