The media says he should! The movies he sees, the shows he watches, the magazines he reads - they all says he should do it now. (Or even that he should have started years ago!)

In the long term he is much better waiting until he gets married. Otherwise he is opening the door to all manner of STD's, HPV, HIV, etc. Then there is the question of actually bonding with his wife. Like a piece of tape pressed onto someone's arm, and then removed and stuck to another, and another person's - it is the same way with emotional ties. The tape does not stick nearly as well after the first time. Waiting until there is the covenant of marriage leads to much better long term emotional connection with his wife.

You are the parent, give him proper guidance. Explain your expectations for him and why. Explain to him how much he will have to pay each month for child support if he gets a girl pregnant. If you set your expectations for him very low, then he probably will not go beyond those expectations.

Have him pickup a hobby like Weight Training to put that testosterone to a better use.
