They are about 1 inch long. I've tried to feed them goldfish pellets but they are too big for my fish. The betta fish pellets are small and it will be the perfect size to munch on.

They might, but they shouldn't be eating only betta pellets. Goldfish are omnivorous coldwater fish, and bettas are carnivorous warm water fish. Their diets are completely different.

Try soaking the pellets first in a cup of tank water - this is recommended for all pellets, anyway. Or try breaking them in half with your nail.

They do, however, make smaller goldfish pellets, and goldfish flakes. Try getting some of those for your goldfish.

Yes, they can. Betta pellets are generally higher in protein that the typical goldfish pellets which is a good thing with young goldies. Because they are young and growing a higher protein diet is a good thing, Consider supplimenting with bits of cocktail shrimp and squished up green peas. Homemade gel food is another option you should consider.

Betta are carnivores, while gold fish are omnivore with a preference for veggies. Also betta food is designed to float, while a goldfish food should sink to the middle. So a food good for the betta is bad for goldfish.

They will eat them, but the betta pellets don't have the right nutrition in them for goldfish. Try soaking the goldfish pellets in tank water before you feed them to your goldfish so that they are soft and will break apart as your goldfish nibble at them. It is better for their digestive system to have them soaked anyway, and will work to prevent constipation and swim bladder problems.

the short answer is YES but don't feed them only that. it's fine if you don't have any other food for a week or two. buy some smaller goldfish pellets / flakes or crush up any larger ones you have.

You can always try it. Some fish will only eat specific food made for their species, and some will eat anything, sort of depends on your fish's personality. If all else fails, just crush up some pellets or flakes and pour them into the water.
