You're right, he IS looking old and worn down. Did you see his press conference yesterday? He was slurring his words, walking kinda slumped over and looking weary.
All the result of the growing pressures of knowingly doing wrong and knowing that within the next month or so, his little game of Stay the Course is about to come to a screeching halt. He's exhausted. And why shouldn't he be, even HE'S getting tired of believing his own lies.

Yup. I think its those last years in an 8 year term. Seems like every president gets to year 6 or 7 and is faced with some huge insurmountable thing. Remember how Clinton started to look after the Monica Lewinsky scandal?? His hair turned white for the love of Pete.
Same with George W. And amazingly, George Sr. is looking younger and younger every day.
Its a tough job.

I understand his wife had a cancer scare recently so that on top of all the other stuff is bound to age him.
Most Presidents look a lot older when they leave.
I don't like or respect this man but he's had a way to go in the last 6 years.

I saw a clip of him speaking somewhere yesterday, and I remarked to my husband that his color didn't look good and he appears to have lost weight. Not surprising, really. Unfortunately, even during peace time, presidents age pretty fast while in office, so you can imagine the strain GW is under right now. He and his family are often in my thoughts.
