I feel really stupid now because my little (five-year-old) sister was the one who told me she thought it was dead...so I go crazy when I see his eyes are half-closed and stuff and he's moving slow...He's fine now, I cleaned the cage and stuff and I think my little sister woke him up and was afraid to tell me since she's not s'pose to be near it. He's making a new nest and acting normal. The food test worked.

Hamsters are nocturnal, therefore not too active during day time. You can test them by putting pellets, or food parts, at different parts of the cage. Watch them pick the food up and put/store back in their ‘home’. If they move slowly or not care at all about the food, that will not be a good sign. You need to remove, or take food pellets as you can see, out of the cage for a few (2 or 3) hours before you do the test. How old are your animals? They can live up to a couple to four years with much care.

Thats the most obvious sign that a hamster is dying. Take him the vet immediately. Or he could have a serious sickness that could possibly lead to death if not treated properly.

Take the poor thing to the vet. How old is he? If he is 2 to 3 years old he could possibly be ready to pass away. Check out this webpage for more reasons he might be sick

I consider Twinkle is a rather lovely identify, and "tinkle" is the toilet euphemism, now not Twinkle! Have amusing together with your hamster, and take into account to do your study to provide it the first-class care feasible.

Yes, when my hamster got older, she spent about two days like that before she died. I felt bad, because I knew she was older and it was her time to go, but I didn't know if she was in pain and I didn't really know what to do to make things better for her.
