here in the US are there any laws to prohibit this

there are laws in every state that differ somewhat.Some will allow it if you are in a sidecar.Others won't allow it at all.Some will allow it only at certain festivals or events.

No a motorcycle cannot be used. There are to many safety hazards and not enough room.
