Ok I just got hired by a company and they are doing their complete background check on me. Including credit. My credit is bad. I have lots of medical bills, and a couple credit cards that I havent been able to pay on due to the in ability to live if I started paying on them I was going to re-consolidate after I started my new job. I have no criminal record, +a good work history will they use my credit against me to the point of termination?

Depends on the company and the nature of the job. As long as you have not declared bankruptcy then they should not be able to hold your bad credit against you. Let them check and if they do not give you the job because of your credit, call your attorney.

No, I think its totally insane what these companies do to check peoples backgrounds. Soon we will all have a computer chip stuck in our skin with all our lives history on it! What kind of free country are we living in anyway? The people need to take this country back!

You're credit rating has no bearing on your ability to work. I don't think that they have any business to be checking that really unless it somehow really is part of your job to hae good credit. Like a broker or something.

I would consider contacting a reputable credit counseling agency. At least if they question you about it, you can demonstrate that you are taking accountability for your finances and moving forward despite challenges of your past. Sometimes someone who has overcome something can be more appealing than someone who has never faced obstacles. Good luck!
