Its a stupid label that you Are gonna put on your friend. If you are really that worried why not just come straight out and ask? Is their answer gonna change the way you feel about them? If so you are a very shallow individual.

Very simple say him "Yaar was I reading an article about Gay and Bi people, they are not good people yaar, What you say?
Now listen to his answer if he replied in Favour of them, (There is a doubt he may be a Gay)
But if agrees with you, it means straightly he is not a gay.

Why would you care as long as you are friends with that person? would it matter? if it would than you are not a true friend.

put mails to him with boys name and chat with him and know his feelings
