Wendy Wasserstein. She wrote my favorite play, "The Heidi Chronicles", and she was a great voice for women's rights, as well as being a mother to a young girl. She was a giant in the theatrical world, and her death was a severe loss.

Steve Irwin, He was the best reptile handler ever, but he went outside of his expertise and accidents happen. It is sad that he left in such a tragic way, when he really was such a great guy and an Aussie national hero

Ralph Wiley, widely respected journalist and author in the world of sports. Not only did his writings exceed all expectations, his journey as a man exemplified what we ALL should strive to be. He will be incredibly missed.

By notable, do you mean celebrities and the like? All deaths are notable and sad. Just because a person isn't on TV or in the papers, it doesn't mean that they won't be missed by families and friends...........TO the thumb-downers...I spoke the truth, and if you don't like it, tough. My life isn't dictated by so called celebrities. I live in the real world with real people.
