What if every time we held a general election there were also an election where the voters get to give the top 10 heirs to the UK throne including the monarch numbers and the median number wins for each person (thus allowing people to be elected king/queen or next in line to-s) and the one finishing 10th falls off the list altogether, replaced by the 'other person' who had the most votes which could be anyone at all... - what an idea, I'd love to hear what people think about it - will you all think this would lead to rule by the big brother idiots, models, football-stars and TV personalities, and if so, is that such a bad thing?

There would be a secondary division ballot containing the top three from the third section which is where everybody can just write in anybody's name they wish to, and the top three go onto the secondary ballot for next time (plus 1.10 and 2.2), and the one of these with the most votes gets promoted into the royal top 10 heirs to the throne.

Monarchies dont work like that, you need to understand the history of royal families and the institution of royalty and monarchs to understand why.

actually, even although I agree that is a lengthy time period to attend to freshen up a foul selection, i will't stand the conception of a rolling presidential marketing campaign. We elected governors each 2 3 hundred and sixty 5 days when I lived in Vermont, besides the indisputable fact that that is a small state, and had very severe limits on spending, so the election season replaced into extremely very short. possibly we ought to continually do this element they do in Parliamentary platforms and talk to for no-self belief votes. That vote immediately triggers a clean election. It also cuts down on the a lot less severe partisan stuff. Elections are severe priced.

You mean to have a president without a political party? Sure. Great idea. Having Jordan as the president and Jade Goody as her vice president. We'd be so screwed. If you have the monarchy you accept that the next born is the one given a "mandate by God" to rule, if not then you have a president from a political party like everyone else.

Oh heavens I think I've just lost the will to live reading this. It's enough bother to try and figure out who to vote for in a general election for political parties without straining our brains with the royal family.

Let's have an election to have no more royalty. They don't do anything important anyway.
