No we do not take care of our own and never have, our Government just spent millions trying to retrieve 3 idiots from a mountain and could have fed a lot of living people with that money. Our Government has always sent billions to Africa and other countries where the people are to lazy to feed themselves, and refuse to utilize closed military bases to house and feed the HOMELESS!!

I haven't seen that. My town is very humanitarian towards our homeless population. We are currently constructing a day camp.
Our private non-profit food banks and community kitchen are well-stocked and well-manned.
My town is the town of former mayor and newly elected Tennessee Republican Bob Corker, btw.
The worst homeless crisis I ever saw was in Boulder, Colorado, the liberal capital of the Midwest.

In light of things that have occured in the past - Stalin, Hitler, Pol Pot - the following answer is not feasible; however it would sure be constructive to society if the people who provide no positive contributions to society could be disposed of.

No, it is not ok. We should help take care of those in need, even if the government won't.

We have programs to help.
The problem is that too many people abuse the system. Infact my aunt abused the food stamps and we made her stop. If this problem is going to be fixed, people need to change their ways to let the ones who relaly need it get the help.

Not with Bush in office.
Yes, he would rather spend millions of dollars on a war, then spend it to help his own people.
