The City of Lost Children
This movie involves a manipulative brain in a jar, narcoleptic clones, Siamese twins that are only joined at the hip but one puffs on a cigarette and the other puffs out the smoke somehow, terrifying Santa dreams, etc, etc, etc.
This movie was so weird I had nightmares for 3 consecutive nights after I saw it. That being said, it was very well done, but I still regret subjecting myself to it.

Some people above I agree with. Mulholland Drive was definitely weird, and you're right that Donnie Darko was pretty "out there" too. Maybe because I was so young when I first saw it, I never thought of Wizard of Oz as particularly weird (although it certainly is when you think about it), but those monkeys scared the crap out of me when I was a little kid. Memento is NOT strange, except for its structure, which is that each scene takes place earlier in the timeline than the scene before it. It is a brilliant movie, though. For me, the strangest I can think of right now is a Japanese film called Oldboy. This guy's just been released after captivity for years and years, but he doesn't know who had imprisoned him nor why. What happens and how it ends are just . . . freaky.

MAGNOLIA ... COme oN! Tom Cruise has made two *roll your eyes* kinda movies. Magnolia-although raining frogs was an awesome scene. Eyes Wide Shut was actually decent and made sense after the 3rd viewing (But I also am a lit buff and big into symbolism).
Donnie Darco has a huge following...I think their are movies made for certain personalities, if that "thing" isn't in your brain you'll never ever appreciate it/understand it for what it's meant to be/say to you.
For example.... I know a lot of people who HATE the Bridges of Madison County, but the book/movie are profound. I broke up with a long term boyfriend after viewing that movie. It helped to validate what I was already feeling/thinking.
Wizard Of Oz...Never really been a fan myself. I did grow up loving the Neverending Story and The Dark Crystal. Now I won't have anything to do with those kinds of movies. Our "viewing" tastes change as we do.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought Donnie Darko was unbelievably weird. Mulholland Drive was another one where I just sat there thinking "what the heck was that"? Oh, Reqium for a Dream was also a really trippy movie.

Definitely agree with Lost Highway and Serpent and the Rainbow. I must add Jacob's Ladder.

HOW INSULTING!! You can't even get the title right! DONNIE DARKO! He isn't a Harry Potter person...I shall cry now.
Okay, I'm over it. =D
I would have to say Donnie Darko as well...but it is one of my favourite movies as well. Also The Butterfly Effect, was odd...another fave though! :)
