Foor the most part they are a little better off.The living conditions of some of the reservations still leave a lot to be desired.
The availabitlity of education is not up to where it needs to be for these proud people.
I am part Native American and support the plight of all Native Americans.

Some are, some aren't. On the whole we've still got a long way to go before we're not stereotyped and treated like third class citizens in some places.
That can be said for a lot of ethnic groups though.

No. We have always preserved mother nature and in today's world nobody cares anymore. Just think about how much trash McDonald's makes a day. Think of the daily things YOU throw away. Such a waste and pity how people take our earth for granted. I don't like the gov't because everything is pretty much ran by insensitive causasians , we were better off in the past.

They used to be about nature and surviving. Now they are all about getting free checks in the mail. It is sad what the white poeple did to them and i think we should give them there own state. Remember to respect native americans as they are the true founders of the land that we call america.

I respect Native Americans a lot, and it's saddens me that they are still treated the same by the government and other people.

I respect them and I think they are respected in general. I'm talking about real Indians that still speak the language and have their practices or at least know what they are.
But their tribes were more powerful before the colonization. It's just a fact.

would you be better off if you were taken from your home and put in one place and told to stay there for the rest of your life?? Imagine that you are from the North and someone took you to say Kentucky and told you that you had to stay there, and learn a whole new way to live, how would you like it??? So to answer the question NO.

Sure if you call being forced onto tiny pieces of land that arent really good for anything and being criticized by everyone for doing what we had to do to survive and make money in today's society.
