Most movies are made to inform and entertain the audience. Some are made just to entertain the director/writers.
It is hopeful for many movie makers to inspire the audience through the actions and words of the actors. The positive images and wisdom of many movies can inspire someone to get hold of their lives, exercise more, finish their education, stay away from drugs/crimes, love their friends and family, etc.
These are all positive influences that can change a person's life by a movie's message. My life has changed for the better because of some movie biographies or stories about the underdog overcoming great adversity.
I look forward to seeing the new Rocky this weekend. He has always given a positive inspiration to those reaching up to the stars. Yo Adrienne, this one's for you!

Borat changed my life. The reason... I never laughed so hard in my life. It is the first time that I laughed so hard that I literally could not catch my breath. This changed my life because it made me realize that even in my 50s, I can still surprise myself and still reach new experiences.
