Is making a whistling noise. It has been serviced recently. Any idea what might be the cause?

Could well be the main gas to water heat exchanger, 280's and highflow 3.5 's are a bit prone to this problem. You don't say how old the boiler is. Was it put on an old system and if so were the rads flushed out. We often refer to it as kettling, there is a boiler noise additive available on the market, but not sure if its effective. Could try an egg cup full of Fairy liquid always worked well on noisy cast iron boilers. A new heat exchanger is around £200 +fitting and v.a.t.
