If you are a Muslim, would you be willing to openly say that Osama Bin Laden's acts of terrorism are sins against Islam?

If your answer is YES, then would you also agree that those sins against Islam will probably cause him to go to hell?

If you are a good Muslim, please mention that you are Muslim when answering this question.

Thank you.

Please, if you are Muslim, would you answer the question with a yes or a no before you go on with any other point such as we are the religion of peace.

akband, since you are having difficulty with the question, since perhaps it may help reveal your true feelings. How about you answer this question?

Do you believe Osama Bin Laden is a good Muslim or a bad Muslim and why?

Not do you believe whether he thinks he is a good Muslim, not I will answer only if you give the definition of good and bad, not there is more than one Osama Bin Laden in the world, which one do you mean. etc. People can see that you are trying to weasel out of what should be a very easy question for any Good/Moderate Muslim to answer.

Hence the reason why I asked.

AKA83,

There are good Muslims who are not afraid to answer the question directly and then their are Muslims such as yourself.

Although all Muslims should know that there is no guarantee that "Allah" will admit them into heaven, surely those same Muslims know the difference between a righteous act and a sin?

If you as a Muslim refuse to clearly express your opinion as to whether or not Osama Bin Laden's acts of terrorism are a sin against Islam, then don't complain when people begin to see your class of Muslims as islamic extremist sympathizers.

Learn how a former islamic terrorist's love for his wife set him on a journey that ultimately exposed the lies he was taught and helped the walls of hate within him crumble as love and respect for mankind finally grew in his heart.

Hi there.. Yes I am a muslim... Alhamdulillah.. and proud to be one... yes, it is wrong to generalize all muslims as terrorists.. I would (infact any muslim) would say Osama Bin Laden's acts of terror are sins against Islam.. And maybe his sins will cause him to go to Hell.. Since, killing defenseless innocent people is against the teachings of the Qur'an... Also, all muslims will agree, that organised crime (war on terror) is also a sin.. again innocent people are killed... Both Bin Laden and the so-called warriors of terror are Terrorists.. with only one difference.. The former calls himself a 'muslim' and lives in caves.. while the latter ones are educated and live in air conditioned offices.
The more such bigot statements are made against muslims... the more will they be responsible in pushing some muslims towards violence...

Peace!

Yes. I am a Muslim. May I just quote from a web site, which I feel can better illustrate my point:

"A fighter killed in a military operation could be said to have a guaranteed place in paradise (or heaven), other things being equal. But it may be that the same fighter committed some earlier sin that God will not forgive. In the end, no one can be sure of his or her ultimate status.

The situation is well illustrated by another hadith (tradtions of the Phrophet (PBUH)) in which Ali, the closest of Mohammed's companions was near death. One of the people asked him if was looking forward to the other side, as it were. Ali replied that he was half in hope and half in fear. If there was no guarantee for Ali, there is no guarantee for any Muslim. Every Muslim knows this."

I highly recommend the website for its accurate information about Islam's actual views on war etc

Atheist- I think all religions have a very positive and negative side... even the peaceful ones. On one side you have the comfort of feeling that someone is watching over you and that death is not the end... on the other side you have people who take things to an extreme and behave accordingly. I do feel that Islam was intended to explain the unexplainable at the time as well as provide guidelines for living as any other religion would, so I agree that Osama's acts would have definately been considered sins. Mohammad (at least every time I've heard him spoken of by anyone intelligent) was looking for a way so that people could be peaceful. Not a bunch of people killing to push their agendas, or to exact revenge upon supposed opressers. I do, however, see where the confusion can come in. Did you ever notice that every time George Bush talks about going to war with a Middle Eastern country, he calls it his "Crusade"? I think, given historical use of the word, he is kind of provoking people to turn things into religious conflicts rather than leaving things political. I think being a Muslim has little, if nothing to do with terrorism- but try convincing anyone else of that and you will be labeled a terrorist yourself. Its all in the terminology with things like this, and it sucks because it brings everybody at odds, leaving the problem to fester and repeat itself in the future.

I rank Osama with George Bush. They are both figure heads and have no clue as to what's happening around the world. Do you think that Osama had a meeting in his war room to plan an attack on American buildings with planes? It's doubtful. On the other hand you have soldiers who are raping, torturing, and killing innocent civilians in Iraq. Should he be held accountable for his underlings' actions as Osama was? The only difference is that I don't feel that Bush supports such actions happening in Iraq as Osama did with the terrorist attacks but you get my point. A thug is a thug the world over. Sorry i don't have an opinion on your religious question I just felt like ranting.

I am a Muslim, yes Osama Bin Laden will go to hell for his crime against Muslims and mankind. Just put it this way he is no Muslim.
Another thing, too, Muslims do not kill themselves like they do in Palestine. I have no idea what branch of Islam they believe in, but it is not the same as mine. Mine says live and that is the victory.

My family hate Muslims (i don't! - my best mate is Muslim), but what they don't realise if that the Islamic religion has been damaged by the acts of terror that so called "Muslims" have done. Islam is about peace and love for each other. Stop blaming the Islamic community for the acts of the few

There are no longer any non violent muslims because of the fact they are all terrified of terrorists and so as that they persist with the call for jehad.Even tremendously qualified muslims tell somethjng in deepest and a few element else in public. This worry would desire to be triumph over first.Muslims would desire to declare that one and all religions are comparable and anybody has an exact to stay peacefully.it particularly is acceptable to Christians additionally who're no much less enthusiast presently.

My husband is a good Muslim, peaceful, honest, prays 5 times a day, fasts, gives alms etc... He said yes, Bin Laden's terrorism is against Islam and yes it will probably put him in hell. Bin Laden's idea of jihad is distorted and being used for his own personal agenda.

Just as Peaceful, decent Christians are bugged when Atheists say all the Serial Killers, Mass Murders and War deaths are caused by either Christians or The Religious (which includes both groups a pary to this answer).
