Pleasing social conformity is old, I knew people that use to do that in middle school and high school, if you are grown and doing this, you need to take a good look at yourself, and be yourself....if they can't love you for being you, then you don't need to be around them....

This is a very interesting question, I was always myself like I am a very Introvert person I liked what others didn't, I had awkward friends and I liked being a loner but my mum tried to make me fit in with society, I ignored her and I don't care what people think is in the end the only person who will feel happy is me and I don't regret anything.

I have always been on to be my own person. I never did fitting in well. I have always had the attitude if you don't like me then leave. I have more fun as myself, I don't like having to be someone else. I am not a big fan of fake people either, so I try to avoid them, or tell them how I feel about them, they usually go away on their own then.

Not me, I'm much more interested in remaining true to myself, and the older I get, the less I care about what other people think of me. I will always be polite and kind to others, but don't spend much (if any) time worrying about how what I do is going to be interpeted by others. I think that's a trait that most people develop with age. I remember something my dad used to tell me, "People don't think about you nearly as much as you think they do."

Both. It depends on the friends that u have and the social ladder personally I'm getting off this social ladder b/c all its done is create more problems for me that I don't need. So just be yourself and people don't like it tell them to buzz off.

I am not a follower, I am a leader.. being myself is much more important to my own well being then being part of someone else's ideas of who I should be. I like to dance to my own drum beat, even if its a little off beat and wild..

To me, Being yourself is more important
cause why should u have to pretend to be someone to make people like you?

just being myself otherwise, it won't be me. people who pretends is just fooling themselves. maybe i won't get ahead or have much friends, but i will always feel that as long as i'm being true to myself nothing is really matter. i don't care of what the world think of me. that's just one rule that i live by.
