The lying part is what I wouldn't be able to get over. Okay, so he has a drug problem and lost his job - he could have told you that. It may not have been the easiest thing to do but he could have been up front. But my question to you is you didn't see any signs (lack of paycheck, attitude changes, etc.)? If you truly love this man and you are willing to put up with him help him get into a rehab. But like someone else said he has to want to. Pray and ask the Lord for guidance as well. Good luck! :)

From personal experience I would say get out while the getting is good. I was in a relationship just like the one that you are describing, I thought for a long time that if I worked at things and helped him to get off the drugs all would be well. The only thing is it was what I wanted. I left 8 years ago. From the info that flows in from mutual friends, he is still on the drugs. I really do hope that you get things figured out and that all turns out great for you. Remember you are the most important person to you!

Quit or got fired? Without a job it is usually a steady downward spiral. If you are not involved with the shared assets it's time to get involved. There is nothing you can do if he doesn't want help. There are lots of support sites on the Internet for women in your situation. Google his drug of choice for one.

How strong is your marriage and your love? If it's strong, there is hope. Get into counseling and get him into rehab. You married him in sickness and health.. and drug addition is truely a sickness. HOWEVER, if he refuses to get any help and become well again.. then unfortunitley it's out of your hands and you must move on. This kind of behavior will destroy everything it touches. It's hard, but you can't let him bring you down with him.

well, for starters....he's your husband so you can't just question yourself or think about turning your back on him. Now that everything is laid down on the table, you should support him, try to help him recover & be there for him. If he "quit" his job, it's the drugs that have taken over his life & causing him to make poor decisions. You should get him some professional help as soon as possible. What's important is that you stick together.

Say bye bye. It is not worth getting into legal trouble because of his drug problem. Once he gets help and gets clean, maybe you can go back.

If you truly love this man you need to find him some help, get him into rehab. If he's a jerk to you and you don't really care, dump him immediately. He's endangering you with his habit!
